Cinematic revelation

So while eating dinner today, we were watching a movie on TCM called “Since You Went Away,” which is a 15-hour war movie shot entirely without color.
One of the dramatic scenes in the movie is when Bill gets shipped off to fight in the war and his fiancee is saying good-bye to him from the [...]

It’s 11pm

…And I’ve been jamming to some Michael Jackson for well over an hour now.  Should I go to bed or keep jamming?

Pure advertising genius

Since I’m a Public Relations/Advertising major, I have a certain interest in company logos.  Without going in to too much detail, I LOVE Sony Ericsson’s logo the best because it is simply a stroke of genius.
The cool thing about their logo is the fact that while it looks cool by itself, the letters “S” and [...]

What’s in a name?

A whole lot, apparently.
First off, if you have a name like “Snaphappy Fishsuit Mokiligon,” chances are you’re pretty off your rocker in the first place.  It’s not that he’s being prevented from changing his name to something obscene, it’s that he’s a moron that should live with his first bad decision.

Tomorrow’s a ‘Celebration.’ Maybe

Been busy recently with work and haven’t had time to update anything.  Plus, all I want to do when I get home is precisely nothing.
However, tomorrow is the Bank Formerly Known As Commercial Federal’s “Celebrates America” concert in Omaha, which is free to the public.  This year’s headliner is Kool & the Gang, which is [...]

How perceptive I am

I’ve had my Sony Vaio laptop for more than a year, and up until now, I’ve never noticed that it has something very very cool in it.
The computer is DLNA certified, which means that it’s compatible with other devices that offer DLNA.
One such other device is the upcoming Sony Ericsson C905.
What is DLNA?  Essentially, via [...]

Sleepy, sleepy, sleepy

This was a tough week of work.  Each day was at least 10 hours with Thursday clocking in at 12.  So I treated myself to some awesome video games—the Lego Star Wars and Indiana Jones games, recommended by many 10-year-olds.   But seriously, I played them, and they’re both excellent.
The grandparents are also over [...]

More C905 pr0n

I am totally head-over-heels in love with this phone.  I love everything about it.  The shutter mechanism is genius (it’s flat when closed, but the bottom retracts and the top slides over it when it’s opened), the screen auto-rotates thanks to the accelerometer, and it has a mineral glass scratch-resistent screen.  Love it.
It has WiFi, [...]

Parents’ Night is for suckers!! Oh, wait

As a camp counselor and not a teacher, we don’t need to attend Parnets’ Parents’ Night, which is an extra two hours of time with the kids—and their parents!
Well, tomorrow, I’m staying and filling in for a teacher in exchange for her doing my “after care” session Friday, which is like a daycare for the [...]

A news story that bodes well for men everywhere…

…Hey, if they can do it to HORSES! And you know what they say about horses.

The black one is mine

All mine.

Learn something new each day

I just discovered that my SE can voice dial phone numbers.  This is awesome.  I was playing around with my Bluetooth headset yesterday, but the bad part was to dial a number, I still had to use the phone.  Now I can just say someone’s name and they’re automatically connected.  I love this thing.
I also [...]

More Shiho/C905 pr0n

Live shots this time.
I’m probably the only one who’s enjoying this, but I don’t care.
It’s surprisingly small considering the raw power this thing has.  I think the black one looks a lot better.

Finally! 3G lovin’ in Omaha!

My mom clipped out an article from the paper today that confirmed something I already knew, but it was nice to see it official and in print.
Due to the release of the second-generation iPhone, which has 3G (HSDPA; High Speed Downlink Access Packet; broadband Internet on your phone) AT&T was finally kicked in the collective [...]

OK…

Um, whoever searched toothless old women and found themselves here: Did you find what you were looking for?
